Position Summary

GRC is looking to hire a highly organized Website Manager with a strong understanding of web development, content best practices, website and Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and Digital Marketing. Website Managers are expected to have a meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, strong content creation and writing skills, and a drive to work collaboratively in a team environment.

To ensure success, the Website Manager must display an excellent understanding of web infrastructure, digital marketing concepts and process, Content Management Systems (CMS) and technology infrastructures such as CSS, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc. Top candidates will be comfortable troubleshooting the website and constantly improving the UI/UX of the website.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE:Green River College's student body is made up of approximately 41% Academic Transfer students, 34% Professional-Technical students, 15% Adult Basic Education student, and 3% Applied Bachelor degrees. Green River College has four campuses, including the main campus in Auburn, Washington, with satellite campuses in Kent, downtown Auburn, and Enumclaw. Green River programs serve high school graduates, Running Start students (dual enrollment in local high schools and the college), those seeking retraining for the workforce, international students, students learning English, and Continuing Education students. Position Responsibilities

Plan, implement, manage, monitor and upgrade the organization's website according to strategic enrollment marketing goalsBe the front-line responder/communicator for campus regarding all technical web and CMS questionsWork with web vendor to identify and respond to any website needs such as security breaches, functionality issues, or site crashes.Ensure that the website is protected by enabling the appropriate security measuresConduct content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate informationCreate appropriate website content aligned to the organization's strategyEnsure website quality and efficiency by conducting regular test plansImprove the User Experience of the website regularlyCollaborate with all staff and management to ensure that the website aligns with brand strategy and meets the organization's standardsHelp create strategies to grow subscriber base and web traffic metrics.Ensure full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations, such as Web Content Accessibility Guideline (WCAG) 2.1 AA standardsKeep up-to-date with industry best practice and monitor competitor websites

Qualifications

Excellent and proactive communication experience and skills; frequent technical to non-technical communication with multiple stakeholders, content managers, and enterprise clientsExperience managing all aspects of a large website, including working with web stakeholders and recommending improvementsExpert knowledge and experience with Adobe suite, Content Management Systems and W3C Web standards.Proficient in HTML, XHTML, CSS design, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, firewalls (functionality and maintenance)Experience working in a CMS such as WordPress, Terminal 4, Ingeniux or another web content management systemGreat understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay Per Click (PPC).Ability to troubleshoot website issues in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skillsExcellent content creation and writing skillsStrong time management skills with the ability to multi-taskCommitment to racial equity and ability to work with diverse teamsSupplemental Information
