The Configuration Manager (CM) is responsible for working with various project(s) within J.F. Taylor Inc. to define the scope of the CM plan, establish and maintain the configuration baseline, control and manage the configuration changes, verify and audit the configuration status. The CM will collaborate with stakeholders from cross-functional groups to manage a wide variety documentation flow, which includes but is not limited to managing a Configuration Control Board (CCB) for approval and review of documentation.Key Responsibilities:
Work with cross-functional groups and the customer to develop or modify configuration management (CM) plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of developmental or operational systems.Responsible for working on developmental and operational teams to create and maintain configuration baselines (e.g., development, test, production, etc.).Facilitate use of CM tools to store, track, and manage configuration items.Maintain detailed records to track drawing status and history, and to be able to recall copies in circulation when required for update.Maintain configuration control over the evolving product baseline.Develop and maintain the CM plan and provide guidance to other stakeholders to ensure processes and documentation align with the CM plan.Interact with cross-functional groups on the program(s) to support product drawings, documentation, and software updates maintained under CM control.Process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), as needed, to ensure configuration control and implementation of all approved changes to the baseline conform to Configuration Management (CM) protocols, processes, and procedures.Facilitate the change management process.Ensure consistency of all documentation in the program.Manage and control production documentation and document distribution.Manage Configuration Control Board (CCB) meeting(s), as outlined in the CM Process Plan.Provide continuous CM support to the project(s).Position Requirements:
Associates degree desired, but not necessarily essentialProblem solverAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentGood written & verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsStrong attention to detail and organization skillsRisk communication skillsExperience working with Technical Data Packages (TDPs)Experience with CM tools/databasesSalary Range:
