IT Business Solutions Manager (On-Site)Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing (SMS) is one of America’s top-five non-bank mortgage-servicing companies. Our clients are businesses that own mortgage loans (such as banks and real estate investment firms). On their behalf, we manage (or “service”) their loan portfolios, which means that we collect homeowners’ mortgage payments, pay their tax and insurance bills, and help homeowners in default to get current.Primary FunctionThe IT Business Solutions Manager works closely with business leadership to define, manage, and complete IT projects in alignment with business objectives and initiatives. The position blends together the traditional roles of Business Analyst, Project Manager, and Product Owner. Successful individuals will possess both technical and soft skills, including a basic understanding of software development practices, the ability to understand business operations, and excellent communication skills.Principal DutiesActively elicit & communicate business requirements using various methods.Critically evaluate information from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts.Define and write user stories to represent business requirements.Deliver artifacts to support comprehensive understanding: functional requirements, process flow diagrams, and data flow diagrams.Collaborate with developers and IT subject matter experts to establish the technical vision.Serve as the conduit between the user community and the software development team.Proactively communicate with external customers and internal business partners.Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions.Within the role of Project and Product Manager, the individual will:Plan and execute projects according to agile methodologies.Be the liaison between business units, technology teams, and support teams.Develop a thorough understanding of the business model and operational processes.Work closely with business leadership to perform ROI analysis.Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and manage risk.Develop project plans and coordinate resources.Education and Experience RequirementsCollege degree is preferred.2-4 years of related experience as an IT Business Solutions Analyst or similar position.Experience managing IT projects using agile methodologies.Knowledge, Skill, and Ability RequirementsStrong analytical and product management skills.Data analysis skills and a working knowledge of SQL.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently.Willingness to travel as needed for business initiatives.While this description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the position’s requirements, it in no way implies that these are the only job responsibilities.Company Perks
