We are looking for an

in-person only IT Help Desk Technician in the Overland Park office . Full-time availability is needed, 40 hours per week.

If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have experience installing and supporting all end user computing devices, printers, scanners, faxes, modems, phones, mobile devices, and software applications. This position is also responsible for day to day monitoring of WAN & LAN devices, servers, phone system, door access system, and backup processes.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Become an expert in hardware and software used by employees and clientsDocument hardware and software used by employees and clients including install instructions, license keys, quantities, vendor contact information for sales and supportManage inventory of spare equipmentSet up hardware and install applications for new employees and provide access to appropriate resourcesMeet deadlines/schedules for the installation of new devices and softwareDocument all help desk support incidents using ticketing system and prioritize tasks/support requests based on severity or impact to usersCommunicate effectively and professionally; both orally and in writing with employees and clients in a timely mannerFollow up with employees and clients to ensure their needs are met and that support issues have been resolved to their satisfactionKeep managers and/or shareholders informed of situations that have escalated due to employee/client requirement or lack of ability to resolve before they become a crisisMust be thorough and detail oriented and work with minimal direction or supervision; act independentlyBe flexible with changes in priorities, deadlines, and unexpected assignmentsWork effectively with others, especially under deadlines, stress, and pressureWork hours necessary to meet deadlines for work assignedIdentify skill gaps and seek out opportunities to increase knowledgeOccasional same day travel for work at client's offices, meetings, and seminarsRequirements

Required qualifications:

In-office work during and after training , due to the interaction necessary between all departments, trainer, and work responsibilitiesIndividuals at this level normally have a High School Diploma or equivalenceStrong technical knowledge and skillsDemonstrated customer service aptitudeStrong interpersonal and relationship building skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPreferred qualifications:

Certifications or formal technical educationPrior experience in an IT support role of three years or more
