Job Type Full-time Description The Corporate & Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for cultivating and facilitating relationships between Victory Programs and its individual volunteers, corporate partners, and community organizations. This role oversees the planning and development of a comprehensive volunteer program that supports over 25 programs and the development team. The coordinator will recruit, schedule, maintain, and recognize a vital volunteer program, including coordinating ongoing volunteer activities, engagement in one-time service projects, and in-kind donation drives for individuals, corporate partners, and community organizations. In addition, the Coordinator manages a portfolio of approximately 40 donors consisting of individuals and corporations, ensures all volunteer and in-kind donor records are accurate and up-to-date, sends timely in-kind acknowledgments, and generates monthly reports detailing volunteer hours and in-kind donations for the finance department. This position will drive increased visibility for the organization, its programs, and fundraising, as well as supplement staff resources through in-kind donations and volunteerism. They will serve as a spokesperson for VPI throughout the Greater Boston area and play a key role in keeping annual development plans on schedule. The position is part of the Development and Communications team and reports to the Deputy Director of Development while working closely with all members of the Development and Communications team and program staff across the organization. This is a highly visible role that requires creativity, high energy, collaboration, sound judgment, and grit. The Corporate and Community Engagement Coordinator will act in accordance with Victory Programs' Standards of Excellence, including maintaining professional ethics, boundaries, and client, volunteer, and donor confidentiality. At a minimum, the Corporate and Volunteer Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for successfully carrying out the following essential functions and duties: Individual and Organizational Community Engagement - 60% Manage and steward relationships with current corporate partners and offer new, innovative ways to grow and expand partnerships that support annual fundraising goals and specific programming needs In coordination with program staff and the Development team, develop, promote, and maintain a wide range of volunteer opportunities that directly impact Victory Program's clients Maintain and grow the volunteer base through proactive and strategic outreach to individuals, colleges, universities, civic and religious groups, and corporations that increase connection and impact Develop and grow relationships with organizations and institutions that promote volunteerism (e.g., Boston Cares, Gay for Good, UMass Boston, etc.) Steward a portfolio of volunteers and corporate partners and work closely with the Development team to facilitate a moves management plan to build engagement Create and manage volunteer service descriptions, trainings, policies, procedures, and standard email communications Create and collaborate with the Communications and Marketing Manager on monthly Volunteer e-newsletters Facilitate the volunteer orientation process and provide ongoing support, communication, and guidance for volunteers Confer with volunteers and staff to resolve grievances and promote cooperation, collaboration, and continued engagement Serve as an ambassador for Victory Programs by participating in community engagement opportunities including Lunch & Learns, volunteer recruiting events, and external events Participate in the planning and day-of coordination of all in-person and virtual development events, including recruitment and management of event volunteers Conduct volunteer experience surveys to inform future planning and deployment of volunteers across the agency; evaluate volunteers, provide regular feedback, and coordinate performance improvement as required Plan and execute volunteer recognition/appreciation events, including Volunteer Appreciation Month (April) In-Kind Donation Program - 20% Collaborate regularly with Program Directors to coordinate in-kind donation needs and maintain approximately four Amazon Gift Registries Inventory, organize, and lead in-kind donations to ensure essential items are delivered to various program sites in a timely and coordinated manner and keep Program Directors informed of what items are in stock Schedule facilities team to assist with delivering in-kind donations to various Victory Program's sites Maintain in-kind donor records, engagement activities, and acknowledgments Administrative - 20% Work with the Communications and Marketing Manager to maintain the volunteer section of Victory Programs' website Develop and manage volunteer policies, trainings, procedures, and standards of volunteer service Oversee and implement registration, intake, and background (CORI and SORI) checks Create and/or update all volunteer collateral materials including the Volunteer Manual and flyers Manage VOME, the agency's volunteer management software Create and maintain volunteer and in-kind donor records in CharityProud (Victory Programs' CRM) including pertinent notes and touchpoints Maintain a calendar of outreach activities and events Enter in-kind donations and volunteer hours and export monthly reports for Finance Ensure in-kind donors are acknowledged appropriately within 48 hours of their gift Work closely with the Communications and Marketing Manager to clean and update volunteer email distribution lists for Constant Contact Contribute monthly to the Development & Communications' presentation at New Employee Orientation (NEO); educate staff on volunteer procedures and outreach Attend and actively participate in weekly team meetings Qualifications: BS/BA or equivalent experience Experience recruiting and managing volunteers Experience working in the non-profit sector preferred Strong listening, speaking, and writing skills Exemplary customer service skills such as enthusiasm, empathy/compassion, patience, flexibility, and charisma Computer skills, including word processing and data management Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects, tasks, and activities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to work successfully in multicultural settings with a diverse client and volunteer population Knowledge and understanding of, or willingness to learn, the components of the agency's Philosophy of Care including the principles of harm reduction Position Type: Full Time Non Exempt (40 hours) Hybrid, Monday-Friday, Flexible/some evenings and weekends required Rate: $58,000 Annually Victory Programs values a diverse workforce, as we collectively seek to create welcoming, inclusive and accessible environments for our employees and the people we serve.
