It involves working directly with clients on various aspects of patent practice.Duties:Prepare and prosecute patents for clients in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.Conduct clearance investigations and provide legal opinions on patentability, operating freedom, and infringement.Offer client counseling on patent management, strategic planning, and portfolio development.Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal solutions.Stay current with industry trends and advancements in patent law related to chemical innovations.Manage a docket of patent applications and ensure compliance with USPTO requirements and deadlines.Requirements:3-5 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution, specifically in the chemical and pharmaceutical arts.Strong background in organic chemistry.Demonstrated expertise in patent law and practice.Superior academic credentials with a track record of excellence.Admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.Certifications:Admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Skills:Proficiency in patent preparation and prosecution.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to build and maintain client relationships.Location:Cranford, NJ
