Reporting to the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney, this position involves handling a wide range of criminal cases at various levels, managing a caseload, and working collaboratively with other legal professionals.Duties:
Advise clients on legal rights and prepare legal documents related to their casesAttend pretrial hearings and provide strategic advice to clientsRepresent clients during court appearances, trials, and hearingsDraft motions, interview witnesses, and conduct legal researchAnalyze case outcomes based on legal precedentsManage a diverse workload of cases with efficiencyProvide detailed legal analysis to determine case benefits for clientsGather evidence and develop defense strategies for client casesPrepare clients for depositions and coordinate with witnesses and expertsRequirements:
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in criminal defenseExperience handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levelsStrong ability to collaborate and work effectively with a legal teamBilingual fluency in English and Spanish is requiredExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsEducation:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolActive membership in the California State BarCertifications:
Licensed to practice law in the state of CaliforniaSkills:
Strong knowledge of criminal defense laws and proceduresExcellent legal research and analytical skillsProficient in case strategy development and evidence analysisAbility to manage multiple cases with attention to detailStrong written and oral advocacy skillsJob Location:
