POSITION PURPOSE

The primary function of this position is to support the monthly accounting closes by performing analyses within the department and preparing audit support to ensure the successful completion of all audits. Cash forecasting and cash reconciliations are also primary functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

DATA ENTRY & INTEGRITY:

Prepare and support all required journal entriesPrepare support for tax returnsReview BVRs to ensure proper coding and classificationPrepare daily cash forecastsServe as administrator for the banking system

REPORTING & ANALYSIS:

Analyze accounts such as prepaids, misc. accruals, misc. receivables, straight line rent accruals, intercompany accounts, and depositsMonthly cash reconciliationsProvide support in the preparation of financial statementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, monitor and analyze departmental and company-wide budgets and forecasts, providing insights on financial performances and variances.

CLIENT ENGAGEMENT:

Significant auditor interaction with PWC, banks and all state audits.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:

In-depth understanding of GAAPAdvanced excel skills and good understanding of systems

SPECIAL PROJECTS:

Automate cash forecasting processAutomate bank reconciliationsAssist in the development of new processes to improve the timeliness and accuracy of current reporting and analysis.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

Ability to complete various tasks while adhering to deadlinesAbility to understand advanced accounting and draw appropriate conclusions that result in necessary journal entriesContinuous process improvementAbility to juggle multiple competing priorities

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

Bachelor's Degree in accounting/finance or equivalent work experience

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

Advanced excel skills and understanding of GAAPKnowledge of fixed assets requiredLease and/or Construction in Progress (CIP) experience preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

5-10 years of accounting experience

SALARY RANGE:

$85,000 - $105,000 annually
