Job Overview:
A well-respected law firm in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a full-time Litigation Associate to join its civil litigation defense team. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for remote work with occasional on-site responsibilities. The selected candidate will play a key role in managing all aspects of litigation, including case management, court appearances, and providing expert legal advice to clients, with a focus on construction defect and casualty claims.Duties:Draft and file motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.Represent clients in trials, arbitrations, depositions, and mediations.Provide clients with legal advice and case updates.Oversee day-to-day litigation tasks to ensure smooth case progression.Prepare for and participate in courtroom proceedings, including trial preparation and witness examinations.Requirements:Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and legal practices.Proven experience in drafting and arguing motions.Ability to effectively navigate the court system and handle trial preparation.Experience in conducting depositions and witness examinations.Superior written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a legal team.Active member of the Nevada State Bar.Previous experience in construction defect or casualty claims is preferred.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Nevada State Bar (required).Skills:Expertise in civil litigation and case management.Proficiency in legal research, writing, and courtroom advocacy.Excellent communication skills for client interactions and legal documentation.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.Effective collaboration and team-building abilities.
