A law firm seeks a qualified Litigation Attorney to join its team in Kensington, MD. This position is designed for an individual with 1-2 years of litigation experience, who is adept at navigating complex legal matters. The successful candidate will provide robust legal representation and advocacy across a range of litigation cases, collaborating closely with clients to develop effective strategies for resolution.DutiesManage a variety of litigation cases, including but not limited to personal injury, real estate, fiduciary disputes, collections, and corporate litigation.Conduct thorough legal research to formulate arguments and prepare necessary legal documents.Draft and negotiate various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.Represent clients in court, handling all facets of litigation including depositions, trials, and appeals.Collaborate with colleagues and other legal professionals to gain a comprehensive understanding of each case's complexities.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all legal proceedings and client communications.Provide clear and concise legal guidance and advice to clients regarding their cases.Stay informed on changes in laws and regulations to ensure compliance throughout legal processes.RequirementsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience is required; experience in legal drafting is preferred.Strong understanding of litigation procedures and ability to navigate complex legal environments.Proven skills in legal drafting and negotiation.Proficient in legal research tools and methodologies.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey legal concepts.Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple cases simultaneously.Capacity to work collaboratively within a team of legal professionals.Keen analytical skills with strong attention to detail.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.CertificationsActive membership in the Maryland Bar or eligibility for admission.SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to produce clear and concise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.Familiarity with legal administrative tasks, including maintaining client records and preparing legal documentation.LocationKensington, MDComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) retirement savings plan with employer contributions.Paid time off and holidays to support work-life balance.Opportunities for professional development and training.
