Electrical Power Engineer (LV/MV) - Oil & Gas/ Heavy Industry SectorsResponsibilities:• Lead and manage complex electrical power engineering projects with minimal oversight,demonstrating strong leadership and technical acumen.• Develop, review, and approve critical electrical power engineering deliverables, including:o One Line Diagramso Electrical Load Listso Equipment Specifications and Data Sheets (Transformers, Switchgears, etc.)o Design of MCC, Switchgear, and Power Distribution Systemso Cable Sizing & Routingo Earthing and Lightning Protection System Designso Electrical Layout Plans (Substation Layout, Cable Tray Layout, etc.)o Hazardous Area Classifications and Selection of Ex-Rated Equipmento Power Systems Studies (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor Starting, HarmonicAnalysis)o Relay Coordination Studies and Settings• Participate in critical studies and reviews like HAZOP, LOPA, and other risk assessments.• Oversee the preparation, evaluation, and management of electrical requisitiondocumentation, technical bid evaluations, and vendor document reviews.• Direct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for complexelectrical systems.• Conduct and supervise comprehensive field surveys to document and assess existingconditions.• Provide expert collaboration with project teams, clients, and suppliers to resolve complextechnical electrical power challenges.Qualifications :• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry.• Eligibility to work in the United States (US Citizen or Green Card holder).• PE Registration, or the ability to obtain it within 12 months, preferred.Hard Skills:• Extensive experience in electrical power engineering, with a strong focus on LV and MVsystems.• Deep understanding and practical application of industry codes and standards.• Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting wiring, fiber optics, and power design on-site.• Proficiency in SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical engineering simulation software.• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.If this role suits your background and experience please reach out directly to Ed Yardley (edward.yardley@gryphonoakwood.com) for a confidential conversation.
