A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Scottsdale, AZ office. This position offers the opportunity to handle complex litigation cases, including product defects, construction defects, premises liability, insurance disputes, and general tort claims. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of litigation experience, strong legal writing and analysis skills, and the ability to take and defend depositions. Trial experience is a plus, and this role offers a great pathway for insurance defense attorneys looking to transition into high-value plaintiff work. The firm provides a collaborative environment with a focus on high-dollar cases across the Western U.S.Duties:

Manage litigation cases related to product defects, construction defects, premises liability, and general tort claims.Conduct depositions, including expert depositions, and assist in trial preparation.Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient case management.Attend court hearings and legal proceedings, and provide legal research support.Draft and file legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery materials.Communicate with clients to provide legal advice and case updates.Organize and maintain legal files to ensure accuracy and accessibility.Requirements:

3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in product defects, insurance, or related areas of law.Strong legal writing and analytical skills.Experience taking and defending depositions; expert depositions experience preferred.Some trial experience (preparation, second chair, or lead) is a plus.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of staff and clients.Must be licensed to practice law in Arizona; additional consideration for attorneys licensed in other Western states (CA, WA, NM, UT, OR, CO, NV).Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications:

Active membership in good standing with the Arizona State Bar.Additional bar licenses in other Western states are preferred.Skills:

Proficiency in legal research, drafting motions, and case analysis.Strong deposition and trial preparation skills.Effective time management and organizational abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Compensation and Benefits:
