This role involves managing cases in insurance defense, premises liability, transportation, and general commercial litigation. Manage litigation files through all stages, from initial filing to resolution.Draft pleadings, motions, legal correspondence, and responses.Conduct all aspects of discovery, including depositions and drafting interrogatories and requests for production.Represent clients in court proceedings, such as motion hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, trials, and evidentiary hearings.Communicate complex information effectively to clients and stakeholders through status reports and updates.Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff on case management.Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, including drafting pleadings, handling motions, conducting depositions, and case management.Admitted to the State Bar of Michigan and in good standing.Strong persuasive writing, legal research, and communication skills.Proficiency in problem-solving, decision-making, and professional judgment.Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications
Active membership with the State Bar of Michigan.Skills
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.Strong work ethic, proactive, and resourceful.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle a busy caseload, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.Benefits
