Data Integration Lead
with strong
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
experience. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless integration and readiness of data assets across the client enterprise, supporting business continuity and maximizing operational efficiencies during the M&A process. The ideal candidate will bring a robust understanding of the upstream Oil & Gas sector, M&A lifecycle, and a proven ability to lead data integration initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesData Integration Strategy : Develop and lead the execution of a comprehensive data integration strategy aligned with the M&A objectives.Data Readiness : Oversee data readiness activities across enterprise systems, including data cleansing, validation, data request, and migration planning.Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with IT, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Land, Production, and other business units to align data requirements and ensure successful data consolidation.Project Leadership : Manage data integration project timelines, resources, and deliverables while proactively identifying and addressing risks to ensure seamless integration.Data Governance : Establish data governance protocols, including data quality, data lineage, and compliance, to maintain data integrity during the integration process.Stakeholder Engagement : Communicate progress, challenges, and updates to senior management, ensuring alignment with business goals.M&A Expertise : Apply M&A best practices for data consolidation, providing insights on potential data-related challenges and solutions to facilitate integration.Required QualificationsExperience : 8+ years in data integration, with 2+ years in M&A-specific data integration projects, specifically in the upstream Oil & Gas industry.Technical Skills : Proficient in ETL processes, data management platforms, SQL, and data governance tools. Familiarity with upstream Oil & Gas data types and systems.Industry Knowledge : In-depth understanding of the upstream Oil & Gas industry, including data landscapes and regulatory considerations.Leadership & Communication : Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.Problem Solving : Ability to foresee and mitigate integration challenges related to data architecture, governance, and security.Preferred QualificationsCertifications : PMP, Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), or relevant M&A certifications.Previous Experience with major O&G companies : Familiarity with data systems or projects at those companies.Advanced Technical Skills : Experience with cloud data platforms, data analytics, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, Azure).Why Join Us?This is an exciting opportunity to lead a pivotal data integration project with direct impact on a major M&A initiative in the Oil & Gas industry.
