This is a year-round position which is a 260 day contract. Paid at 74 code. Pay range from $16.59/hr to $21.39/hr, depending upon qualifying verification of experience. Primarily responsible for district data management, administrative support, and school secretarial support, and other duties as assigned by district sections including the Offices of Pupil Personnel, Student Support, and English as a Second Language, all subordinated to the Office of Student Learning.
Preference given to candidates with KY school district experience. Specifically experience with the following: Infinite Campus, Google applications, MUNIS, MS Word, MS Excel, efficient filing systems, and speaking in front of others. A warm and pleasant demeanor is a must. Attention to detail, organization, and ability to prioritize competing requirements is critical in this position.
Person hired will be working with the Office of Student Learning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Graduate.
2. Good secretarial skills, including typing, filing and organizational skills.
3. Demonstrated competence in the use of business machines and computers.
4. Experience as a secretary and/or special schooling for secretarial work.
REPORTS TO: Director of Pupil Personnel
SUPPORTS: Office of the DPP and Student Services
JOB GOAL: To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the office, including district support and enablement of school secretarial teams and data so that the office's maximum positive impact on the education of the children can be realized.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process, manage, and guide district, school and student data requirements.Responsible for all confidential manage of data and records.Enter and manage employee information in various computer and web-based applications.Interview and screen callers and visitors, including students, teachers, administrators, parents, vendors and the public and provide information or direct to appropriate personnel; provide detailed and technical information concerning District policies, procedures and established regulations.Perform a variety of general secretarial duties including sorting and routing mail, receiving and referring telephone calls, operating computers and other business machines.Maintain the payroll authorization process.Assist in preparing and generating a variety of office mailings, reports, and lists.Assure timely communications between office and District employees; make phone calls to receive and transmit information; type memos, bulletins, letters and notices; prepare Board agenda items and related materials as assigned; compose correspondence or prepare from rough draftResearch and compile information and compute statistical data for federal, State and District reports and special projects as assigned.Perform other duties as assigned by the Asst. Superintendent of Learning, Director of Pupil Personnel, and designated Directors/Coordinators.
