Job Description
The Retail & Operations Coordinator will be a critical member of the North America Retail Innovation team, serving as key support in the execution of new retail concepts, including stores, temps & pop-ups, and concessions, always considering a luxury, omnichannel client experience. This role will require organization, agility, consistency, resourcefulness and resilience to commit to operational excellence throughout all stages of planning and execution.
The Retail Innovation team at Parfums Christian Dior is leading the evolution of luxury fashion beauty and fragrance through the exploration and testing of new and distinctive retail experiences and models across Direct, Wholesale, and Digital, to further enrich client relationships with the Maison.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMaintain store opening operations tracker with key dates & deliverables, with regular updates to Retail & Operations teamSupport Retail & Operations team with on-the-ground operations in advance of and during openings. Support Retail Ops management in leading of pop-up and store openings, including organizing agenda, minutes, and action items for weekly 360 meetingsBe a point of contact for store staff; help to gather and raise retail feedback to cross-functional teams.Create tools for key communication and policies / procedures for the store networkSupport in build out and implementation of onboarding and training materials for field teamsManage supply, uniform, packaging, and tools ordering for stores. Ensure the allocation of retail uniforms across all stores on a consistent basis, partner with the Education team to ensure outfitting of store team is always to standardInput opening orders of sellable and non-sellable product for stores and gratis for Retail Innovation team. Organize & track POs and shipmentsOrganize store visit prep for Retail Innovation team and executive leadership, including maintaining agenda, appointments/reservations, consolidating reporting and materialsVendor Coordination: Collaborate with purchasing department to identify and onboard new vendors for boutiquesMaintain an updated Vendor database with key contacts and relevant information for DTC boutiquesAdditional administrative support as needed for Retail Innovation leadershipPromote a positive, united work environment within the team and across departments while challenging status quoQualifications
2+ years of corporate retail / retail operations experience. Ideally with experience in beauty and fragrances, vertical retail, D2C, and / or luxury fashion environmentStrong time management and prioritization skills. Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environmentsMaintains composure and remains solutions-oriented even in high pressure, ambiguous situationsAble to distinguish which issues, dependencies, and risks are critical and demonstrate flexibility when prioritizingEntrepreneurial mindset, ability to wear multiple hats and be hands-on and in the detailsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsOrganized & detail-orientedSense of urgency is criticalSelf-starter, ability to take initiative, ownership, and accountability for their workPassion for the beauty and fragrances industry, competitive landscape & trendsProficient in POS & inventory management systems as well as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)Experience working with a foreign parent company a plusJob Requirements
Candidate must be available to work in Dior's New York City Monday-ThursdayAbility to work a full-time, but potentially varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as neededFull availability for the length of the 6-month contract
