How You'll Perform the Role
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all Quality, Environment and Health & Safety matters ensuring that the site complies with all obligations, operates in a safe manner, with a safe environment for all and that we meet the needs of our customers.
Carry out and/or organize relevant employee training programs.Assist with investigations and root cause analysis to resolve any quality issues, complaints and non-conformances in accordance to NCR procedure, liaising with customers as required.Represent the company in a professional manner with dealing with raw material suppliers & customersEnsure that quality standards are adhered to and enforcedContinuously assess employee Quality awarenessResponsible for the management of the BRC approved Management System including internal audits, ensure continuous adherence of the standardResponsible for the maintenance of an Integrated Management Systems that meets the requirements of ISO9001 & BRC Global Standard Packaging & Packaging Materials and to ensure the type and scope of the integrated management system meets the needs of Waddington Europe, senior management, and other stakeholder groups.Keep up to date with changes in law & legislation regarding quality, hygiene, environmental, health & safetyEnforce the requirements of our Health & Safety policy and systems in placeManage HACCP and Risk Assessment systemsOversee the company's Health & Safety meetings and coordinate corrective actions requiredFollow corporate/inter-company Health & Safety requirements and reporting activitiesPromote a continuous improvement cultureWork in the manner and with the relevant protective devices, measures and procedures that are required by the Health & Safety at Work Act and those stated within company policy.Uses and/or wears protective devices or clothing that the employer requires to be used or worn.Manage KPI's and present them to the business on the management meetings.Uses and/or wears protective devices or clothing that the employer requires to be used or worn.Manage KPI's and present them to the business on the management meetings.What We Need From You
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of quality control management experience in a manufacturing environment, or relevant working experience is required.Knowledge of Word, Excel and Access.Must have firm understanding of test procedures, statistics and process controls.Knowledge of bag machinery a plus.Must have strong problem solving and analytical ability.Experience with food packaging regulations especially GFSI/SQF.
