How You'll Perform the Role HR Generalist supports the HR department in managing the full employee life cycle activities with a primary focus on recruitment and staffing, employee relations, and compliance & regulatory reporting as well as maintenance of HR records. This role also assists the HR Manager with implementing HR initiatives and programs. Principal Job Duties Monitor and oversee all recruitment-related activities including, but not limited to; posting/communicating open positions, screening candidates, conducting interviews, updating job descriptions, etc. Conduct orientation and manage the onboarding process for newly hired employees. Assist employees with day-to-day inquiries pertaining to HR-related matters Lead and support HR projects as assigned Update and maintain various HR information systems and prepare reports Track, analyze, and compile reports on HR metrics Assist the HR Manager in managing employee relations Participate in staff meetings and be visible/accessible to staff on the shop floor Participate in organizing and coordinating employee engagement initiatives Create and update organizational charts and job descriptions Propose, and help implement, improvements to policies and procedures Resolve minor employee issues Other duties as may be assigned What We Need From You Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources, or equivalent work experience Minimum 2-4 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in manufacturing Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Team player with the ability to build lasting productive business relationships with hourly employees, management, and peers Must possess a high degree of professionalism in handling confidential information Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Experience working in a unionized environment is preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and auditing skills required Experience in Workforce Now, ADP, SAP, or other integrated enterprise systems.
