Job Description
Controller | $175,000 to $200,000 + Bonus | Onsite - Aurora
The Controller, reporting to the CFO and working closely with the General Manager, will lead all financial functions for U.S. operations. This role will drive sound financial management, compliance with GAAP, and regulatory standards. The Controller will oversee key areas, including general and cost accounting, financial controls, FP&A, payroll, cash flow, and banking relationships to ensure the company's financial health and support its growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a financial advisor to leadership, providing tools, systems, and insights that drive business strategy and operations. Develop and execute financial recommendations based on analysis.Support FP&A activities by ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and provide useful insights for decision-making.Manage the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements, analyzing results and generating actionable insights.Establish and maintain banking relationships, manage cash flow planning, and oversee financing strategies to maintain liquidity and fund availability.Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses in alignment with company goals.Maintain updated knowledge of best practices and regulations. Ensure internal controls, policies, and procedures meet legal and regulatory standards.Ensure accurate and timely processing of A/R, A/P, cash management, financial statements, balance sheets, and tax return schedules.Oversee compliance for all regulatory licenses, permits, leases, contracts, and operational taxes, ensuring timely filings.Mentor, train, and develop accounting staff to build a high-performing team and promote positive workplace relationships.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required;CPA mandatory.5+ years of experience in a Controller or Accounting Manager role within an operational setting, preferably in manufacturing.Strong experience in general accounting, financial analysis, FP&A, and cost accounting, with a proven track record of mentoring and developing teams.Energetic, action-oriented professional with high integrity, sound judgment, and ethical standards.Strategic and decisive leader with strong analytical and technical skills, capable of understanding the big picture and driving operational focus.Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work across all organizational levels and engage with clients.Leadership style that supports knowledge sharing and staff development.#LI-CM1
