Junior Cost Accountant

One of Aston Carter's top clients is looking for a Junior Cost Accountant to join the team and play a key role in driving the financial efficiency behind their creations.

What You’ll Do:

Assist in Cost Analysis: Support the Controller Cost Accounting by planning, studying, and collecting data to determine the costs associated with raw materials, labor, overhead, and equipment. You’ll play a key role in keeping the manufacturing efficient and cost-effective.

Report Preparation: Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting reports, ensuring that the leadership team has the insights they need to keep the business moving.

Standard Cost Management: Help analyze, review, and modify standard costs, ensuring they reflect the latest market trends, bills of materials, and production realities.

Inventory Control: Support physical inventories and monitor cycle counts, making sure everything is accounted for, and the process is streamlined.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Assistant Controller and CFO, supporting financial operations through effective communication and teamwork across departments.

Process Improvement: Automate processes, refine expense tracking, and drive continuous improvement in their operations, keeping them at the forefront of the industry.

Skills and Specifications:

A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required

1+year of experience in the manufacturing industry in an accounting setting

Expertise in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite & Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus.

A detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

A passion for collaboration, with strong communication skills that allow you to work seamlessly across teams.

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
