Our client in Cape Coral, FL is seeking a qualified industry experienced Plant Manager at a commercial laundry/linen/uniform service operation.
This leader will oversee internal operations, production, engineering/maintenance, safety, inventory, and financial performance.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the decision making, direction and coordination of the efficient processing of all linen products including safety, production planning and control, plant schedules, inventory control, recruiting and retention, team management and development, tracking and reporting.
This is a busy, high-volume plant.
The plant is open 7 days/week and on 2 shifts. This leader will work a variety of shifts including early, mid, and evening. Must be able to work rotating weekends.
Responsibilities:Responsible for managing plant safety, operation, costs and budgeting.Spend a considerable amount of time on the production floor, observing plant operations and developing department supervisors.Oversee daily operations of production, driving productivity, ensuring policies and procedures are followed, and suggesting profit-improving process changes.Manage and supervise department managers (production supervisors). This includes hiring and training of direct management reports, providing direction and guidance, coaching and guidance.Ensure high performance in efficiency, accuracy and quality in all plant departments.Implement standard operating procedures with division and assure they are being followed to create consistency and standardization in all we do.Analyze and recommend plans for improvement - assess and recommend equipment improvements, methods and process improvements.Achieve budget goals to ensure profitable operations and continuous improvement for all plant service centers.Interview, select, hire, develop, train and progressively counsel (if necessary) all direct reports in conjunction with HR.Ensure compliance to internal safety protocols and OSHA rules and regulations. Introduce programs directed at creating safety awareness amongst all employees and move us closer to achieving zero reportable accidents within your division.Be reasonably available after normal business hours when on call.How is success measured for this position?
Productivity measurements, PPOH, labor percentage, utility utilization/costs, order fill rates, safety performance
Requirements:
At least of 4 years of high volume commercial laundry plant management experienceBilingual in Spanish is a plusDemonstrated ability to lead, train and manage a team's performanceDemonstrated knowledge of plant operation methods, equipment, techniques, engineering and maintenanceAbility to manage, support, and motivate other people.Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.Benefits:Why join this company?
