Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Data Entry Clerk in the real estate and property industry located in Miami, Florida. This role entails meticulous data entry tasks, processing customer applications, and maintaining customer records. The successful candidate will work within our team to ensure that all customer inquiries are resolved promptly and customer accounts are monitored effectively. Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant with experience using Yardi software to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and collections, ensuring timely and accurate transactions. General Ledger: Assist in maintaining and reconciling the general ledger, including journal entries and month-end closing activities. Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other management reports. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, analyzing variances, and providing insights for future forecasts. Yardi Software: Utilize Yardi to manage property-level financial data, track transactions, and generate reports. Audit Support: Assist in audit preparations by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries. Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-2 years of accounting experience, with hands-on experience in Yardi software. Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
