Wireless Network Engineer

JOB TITLE: Senior Wireless Network Engineer (Aruba, Juniper Mist)LOCATION: Austin, TXDURATION: 6-12+ Month Contract to HireRATE RANGE: $50-60+/hourSUMMARY:Specialize in Wireless technologies in an enterprise and manufacturing environment. This role will provide wireless engineering, implementation, analytical, and technical guidance in a build and operational support. The engineer will ensure compliance to established system architecture, regulations and security policies, follow standards and best practices, and author and maintain support documentation.RESPONSIBILITIES

:Work closely with Network Architects on wireless design and initiativesMaintain current wireless solution within factories, warehouses, and offices.Function as a Tier-1-2 escalation pointCoordinate and lead on implementation of new wireless servicesEnsure wireless regulations and legal requirements are maintainedMonitor, analyze, and report metrics of wireless solutionDocument enterprise wireless infrastructure components and "Run-BookMust be able to work occasional weekends, after hours, and holidaysOn-site Monday to FridayParticipate in on call rotationQUALIFICATIONS

:6+ years' experience engineering mission critical wireless infrastructureExtensive experience in wireless solution with IEEE 802.11 standards, encryption, WIDS, rogue detection, 802.1x, RADIUS, EAP-TLS, wireless client chipset/driver, RF engineering for wireless planning, along with multi-vendor technologies including Cisco controllers, Mist wireless, Aruba Networks 7x/9x series controller, Aruba Airwave, Aruba ClearPass, and AOS8.Experience with various wireless tools such as Spectrum Analyzer, Protocol Analyzer, and Site Survey ToolsExperience level knowledge of IP networking, L2/L3 network protocols, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, SNMP, and QOSExperience with developing scripts to automate infrastructure deployment and collect metricsProficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and VisioSkills and Competencies:Excellent organizational skills and solid team playerSolid analytical skills to troubleshoot high level, complex technical problemsExcellent verbal, written, and communicationMaintain a high degree of professionalism and integrity
