Position is located at 201 Robert S Kerr Ave, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Position is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with the ability to work additional hours as needed.

Preferred Qualifications: 7 years of experience as a Commercial Loan Assistant

Summary:

SUMMARY: Under limited supervision, the Commercial Loan Assistant 2 provides quality and timely assistance to one or more Commercial Bankers with the servicing of their large and/or complex commercial loan portfolio in accordance with bank guidelines. The majority (60%) of the time is spent providing support to commercial lenders and customers. While the Commercial Loan Assistant 2 spends the majority of their time supporting the commercial lending function, they may also support other lending functions (Consumer or Mortgage) in order to meet the needs of the department. This includes providing exceptional service to customers who have loans in process and being able to correctly determine which documentation is necessary for all loan types.

\ ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Assist Commercial Banker in obtaining corporate entity information, and related loan documentation, including but not limited to, title searches/commitments, UCC searches, and flood determinations, appraisals for new loans.

2. Review loan documents prior to closing (legal descriptions, closing dates, loan documents prepared in-house or by legal counsel, etc.) and close loans with customers.

3. Oversee the loan documentation pipeline by updating officer and borrower on loan status, ensuring timely completion of the loan process.

4. Identify clients operational needs and bank products/services to meet these needs.

5. Serve as liaison with legal counsel, borrower and third-party vendors in coordinating receipt and review of required documents to expedite closing process.

6. Perform post-closing reviews to ensure that loan files contain documents with proper signature, dates and other relevant data.

7. Obtain credit information and ensure sufficient loan collateral.

8. Recognize selling opportunities and effectively cross-sell bank products and make referrals.

9. Work the Technical Exceptions (TE) list to ensure that bank security interests in the files are perfected in a timely manner.

10. Disburse loan funds after closing and image loan documents within established timelines. Provide on-going support to foster customer relations. Ensure on-going maintenance of loans in the system to meet the banks and customers needs.

11. Communicate with Group Appraisal and Consolidated Loan Support (CLS) regarding the processing of loans. Provide information in an efficient manner so loans can be processed timely for customers. May also communicate with Consumer Loan Underwriting (CLU) on consumer loans.

12. Collect and analyze customer financial information. Annually obtain updated financial information and insurance to support outstanding loans.

13. May have lending authority for secured loans up to \$10,000.

14. Serve as a resource to lower-level Loan Assistants.

15. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank\'s BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

\ EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

5 years banking or equivalent related experience, 2 of which are as a Loan Assistant or equivalent loan operations required.

Working regulatory knowledge such as privacy, safeguarding customer information, Regulation B, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Regulation Z, Truth in Lending, CRA, HMDA, and flood regulations required.

Current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or the ability to be registered within 30 days required.

Successful completion Fundamentals of Commercial Lending or ability to acquire within 90 days required.

AA/AS degree preferred.
