Who we are looking for:We are seeking an experienced Commercial Loan Administrator responsible for supporting loan officers in an administrative capacity within a highly engaged, high-service environment. First Line staff support for activities that include, assisting with commercial loans to facilitate new loans and loan closings, research and respond to customers on multiple issues from loan status to account information.
What you'll do:
Assist customers with general commercial and consumer loan-related questions.
Review all loan packages including proper approval authority, entity documentation, promissory notes, security instruments, loan agreements, lien instruments, title commitments/real property searches, appraisals, contracts, UCC searches, insurance policies, surveys, and environmental reports.
Review customer loan files for appropriate customer verification as required by Bank policy; adhere to BSA/AML requirements and Cornerstone Bank policy.
Prepare loan package for submission to Doc Prep if not attorney-prepared
Prepare and organize closed loan packages for processing by Loan Operations
Provide disclosures when necessary.
Order Flood, Title Commitments, UCC Searches, Environmental Reports, Appraisals, and any other applicable documents.
Coordinate loan closings with attorneys, title companies, borrowers, and lenders including closing loans when necessary.
Assist lenders with past-due calls and letters.
Coordinate advance requests for construction loans by ordering inspections
Obtain Credit Reports and conduct OFAC check as requested by Lenders.
Track collateral exceptions on new or renewed loans and load to collateral tracking system for review and indexing by the Loan Administration Officer.
Monitor exception reports to clear exceptions in a timely manner.
Scan and index loan packages.
Greet, assist and direct customers coming into the branch lobby when needed.
What you'll need to be successful:
Success in this job relies on your time management skills, organization, and positive attitude. In addition, you'll need the following qualifications:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 5 years of commercial lending experience required, including processing, closing, perfecting liens, etc.
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
Superior oral and written communication skills, ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
A strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work quickly and accurately under constant deadlines
Ability to independently identify resolutions to documentation and/or deadline issues
Strong attention to detail and possess strong problem-solving skills
Strong computer and technology-related skills
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
