CORPORATE CONTROLLER
POSITION SUMMARY
Okland is now seeking a strategic Corporate Controller to join our executive finance team. Reporting directly to the Executive Leadership Team and Financial Director this position will play a pivotal role in providing senior leadership and oversight to our organization's Advanced Technology multi-billion-dollar business unit.
The Corporate Controller will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, the closure of financial books, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and presenting comprehensive financial statements. This senior-level position requires extensive experience in financial reporting, a proven track record of leadership in complex financial environments and a CPA license is preferred.

It supervises the architectural, engineering, bidding, contracting, building, and inspection from the beginning to the end of the project and specializes in concrete self-preform on a large commercial scale.
LOCATIONTempe, AZ (Onsite)ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFinancial Leadership:
Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the business unit.Collaborate with executive leadership to align financial strategies with overall business unit objectives.Financial Oversight:
Oversee and manage all aspects of the business unit's accounting functions, including equipment, depreciation, accrued assets and liabilities, payroll accruals, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cost accounting.Ensure adherence to accounting principles and regulatory requirements.Financial Close:
Lead the financial roll-up close process for this business unit, demonstrating a keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.Conduct comprehensive reviews and reconciliations to identify and address discrepancies.Financial Reporting:
Drive the preparation and presentation of timely and accurate financial reporting for the business unit.Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data for strategic decision-making.Cost Management:
Apply advanced cost accounting knowledge to analyze and optimize costs.Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency.Develop process and manage team to ensure timely and complete cost controls.Develop processes to ensure that the project management team adheres to the business unit contracts.Compliance and Audits:
Ensure strict compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.Facilitate and support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.Possess foundational knowledge on aspects of complex commercial construction projects like semiconductor and data centers.Develop process to adhere to owner joint venture and trade partner contracts.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.CPA licensure, preferred, but not required.7+ years in senior financial roles, with a focus on financial reporting and leadership responsibilities.Construction experience a plus, but not required.Pre-employment Background Check RequiredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
In-depth knowledge of equipment, depreciation, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cost accounting.Knowledge in Davis Bacon wage determination adherence.Expertise in financial close processes, presentation of financial statements, and strategic financial planning.Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced executive environment.WHY OKLAND?
