Passion for our mission and vision is required! This role is part of the Lunar Transportation business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers the candidate leads the development and best practices for integrated analysis for Crew and Life Support Systems (CLSS) flight hardware parts and ground support equipment for the MK2 Crewed Lander. The CLSS analysis lead reviews and approves a diverse set of analysis including structural, fluid (water, air, oxygen & nitrogen), human integration and thermal assessments. Guides analysis team members on developing, maintaining, and submitting for release analysis products and data by applying company, industry, and governmental standards. The CLSS Analysis Lead assists the design teams in creating, developing, and maintaining systems designs by applying good engineering judgment in support of design layouts, modifying existing designs and identifying design discrepancies. The candidate supports critical system level trade studies which require solid analysis and engineering fundamentals. The CLSS Chief Designer supports engineering system design and functionality, along with validation activities. Specifically, you will lead the analysis team's impact on all aspects of designing, analyzing, building, testing and flying all of the CLSS flight hardware. CLSS is composed of the essential hardware to allow humans to safely work liver and inhabit space include Extra Vehicular Activities. The CLSS Environmental Control and Life Support System circulates air around the vehicle picking up carbon dioxide, humidity and trace contaminants to be scrubbed and provides oxygen for breathing. The internal cabin pressure is maintained and monitored. Clean drinking water is provided to the crew. The ECLS system also monitors air quality as well as emergencies such as rapid depressurization and fire and counteracts them. We provide the flight deck, payloads utilization, audio/camera, and stowage systems. We provide the flight suit and its interfaces as well as the required support to the EVA suits. We provide all of the crew habitability hardware from toilets to sleeping accommodations. We practice hardware rich design development.
