Set south of town along I-25, yet seemingly worlds away from the city, The Canyons is a master plan under the direction of the respected Shea Homes Colorado team. BlueStar is engaged to manage the amenities in the community, the first of which - The Exchange.

Where:

Just South of Denver, Colorado

Pay : $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Benefits:

New hourly full-time team members working 30 hours or more per week, will be eligible for the Company medical, dental and life insurance plans the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment.

Full-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off ("PTO") in accordance with the Company policy at a rate of 120 hours per year.

Full-Time team members are eligible for 7 paid holidays annually.

Part-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Sick Leave in accordance with state guidelines.

All team members 21 years and older are eligible to participate in the J.F. Shea Co., Inc. 401(k) plan after completion of 30 days of service.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Facilities Supervisor collaborates with the Facilities Maintenance Manager to ensure the smooth operation of community and common area grounds and oversees all Club operations, maintenance, and staff supervision. This position reports to the Facilities Maintenance Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf (BSRG) to support the achievement of company goals.Work with the Club General Manager, the Leadership Team, and other team members to maintain BSGR Club resort standards.Support employee hiring, training, and employee review and development.Inspect the facility daily to monitor operation conditions.Create a scheduled maintenance program for indoor and outdoor aspects of the facility, including fire sprinklers, interior and exterior painting, lighting, pool and spa equipment, roof, parking lot, etc.Respond to all requests for assistance in a professional, enthusiastic, courteous, and timely manner to meet facility standards of excellence and exceptional customer service.Assist in supervising and directing all contractual functions of the Club, including, but not limited to, landscape and grounds, janitorial, pool, low voltage (cable), market and kitchen, spas, tennis, Bocce ball, etc.Provide support to team members when needed.Partner with regional and national organizations to provide program activities.Assist with obtaining competitive bids on project pricing.Maintain contractual agreements with outside vendors.Assist in directing custodial and porter team members.Maintain building inventories and supplies.Maintain awareness of the Club upkeep and work with the management team to correct or upgrade any conditions that are not safe or in keeping with the Club's resort image.Understand association rules, regulations, and safety practices to assure compliance; encourage employees to work in a safe manner, use all personal protective equipment (safety gear) assigned, and report unsafe conditions or accidents to a supervisor.Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.One to three years' leadership experience in facility maintenance required, with two years supervisory experience preferred.Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.Current First Aid or other safety certifications, as required by the Club.Certified Pool/Spa Operator (CPO®) certification, if required by the facility.Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.Knowledge of IMPAK facility management software is a plus.Knowledge of painting, HVAC systems, pool equipment, and landscape maintenance and irrigation repairs required.Ability to read building drawings and blueprints preferred.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Must have planning, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, time management, supervisory and employee development skills.Must have excellent analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to respond to the needs and requests of staff members, guests, and the community association.Must demonstrate initiative with an ability to think, work, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment.Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends, and regularly changing hours for shifts. Overtime may be possible during the busy season, but is not mandatory.Valid driver's license is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is regularly performed in a combination of office, outdoor, and shop environments and may be exposed to dust, odors, fumes, and occasionally native wildlife when outdoors on the facility grounds. There is routine use of standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copy and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but can vary depending on the equipment or machines used.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to see and hear, speak clearly and understand the speech of another person, sit, stand and walk, use hands to fingers, handle or feel, bend, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employees are required to wear all assigned personal protective equipment.
