The Human Resources Specialist plays a vital role in supporting our team members and ensuring smooth HR operations. This role will be responsible for supporting a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training and compliance. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, initiative and the ability to build relationships will be essential to success in this role.
Job Responsibilities
Recruitment:
Partner with hiring managers to develop comprehensive recruitment plans, including job descriptions, candidate sourcing strategies and interview processes.Utilize various sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, employee referrals and professional networking to identify qualified candidates.Review resumes, conduct phone interviews and assess candidate qualifications against job requirements.Schedule interviews, coordinate logistics and provide candidates with necessary information.Assist with extending job offers to selected candidates and negotiate terms as needed.Onboarding and Offboarding:
Collaborate with departments and hiring managers to create a seamless onboarding experience.Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including paperwork and orientation.Manage the offboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for departing employees.Recordkeeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and employment documents.Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.Maintain accurate Standards of Procedures for HR processes.Training Administration:
Provide administrative support of training programs, including maintaining accurate records of training attendance, completion and evaluation results; and assemble training materials.Answer employee inquiries regarding training and resolve issues promptly.HRIS Maintenance:
Input and update employee data in the HR Information System (HRIS).Generate reports and analyze HR data as needed.General Administrative Tasks:
Handle a variety of administrative tasks, such as filing, photocopying and mail distribution.Provide general HR support to employees, answering questions and resolving issues.Develop and implement strategies to boost employee morale, satisfaction and engagement.Conduct employee surveys and feedback sessions to gather insights and identify areas for improvement.Assist with the organization and coordination of events, such as team-building activities.Other duties as assigned.Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR or a similar role.Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., UKG) preferred.PHR or SPHR certification preferred.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong organizational and time management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
