JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.SAir Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech IIJT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges
JOB SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Assists in developmental and operational testing of internal and external customer systemsInterfaces between instrumentation engineers and test customers to ensure that parametric data required is available for test data analysis and accurately reflects the system configuration and operational characteristics
• Provide organization to small project teams• Contribute knowledge on the test process• Provide knowledge on EW, RF or Protocols• Suggest improvements to processes and procedures to obtain efficiencies• Develop basic data analysis tools, processes, or products for analysis• Analyze pre-test predictions to define data collection requirements• Assist in the conduct of test activities from control centers• Order, QC and analyze data; Identify and resolve basic data anomalies; Present test findings• Assist in authoring final test products• Provide other related support as requested RANGE POSITION DESCRIPTION Job duties of an Operations/Test Analyst includes, but are not limited to, working under general technical guidance, specializing in voice communications switching, video, telemetry, situational awareness, data transport, and support systems within a real-time mission support environmentPerform network system administration tasks on work center systems such as communications distribution, data acquisition and distribution, range data transmission systems and associated ancillary equipment systems in accordance with standard industry practices, manufacturer data, applicable DoD policies, and local directivesThe Operations/Test Analyst is responsible for resolving real-time mission support anomalies, performing daily network monitoring, and provides the status of all work center networksCandidates shall implement and enforce new and update existing network and system administration policiesThe Operations/Test Analyst is responsible for identifying network and system administration weaknesses and/or problem areas and provide recommendations for corrective actionsThe Operations/Test Analyst must have the knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot data and telecommunication networks and equipmentThe selected candidate will be required to provide real-time operational mission support within the various sections of the work centerIn addition, the selected candidate will be required to lead work center personnel in accomplishing real-time operational mission support as well as maintain networking equipment to include problem isolation and repair to the lowest repairable unit levelThe Operations/Test Analyst will lead work center personnel in the performance of preventative maintenance inspection (PMI) activities on applicable systems equipment and will develop and maintain network PMI procedures as requiredThe Operations/Test Analyst will be considered a subject matter expert at the completion of on-the-job training and will develop, modify, and review operating instructions for general network and system administration tasks within the work centerThe Operations/Test Analyst will implement and adhere to all Informational Assurance requirementsThe Operations/Test Analyst will interface directly with customers as needed and must be able to resolve, under stressful circumstances, simple to complex problems in the real-time mission environmentThe Operations/Test Analyst must possess intermediate knowledge of networking and data link protocols such as IP, Ethernet, Frame-Relay, SONET, and T1The Operations/Test Analyst must be willing to work non-standard hours that include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtimeThe non-standard hours and overtime may be short or no notice eventsThe Operations/Test Analyst must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance up to Top Secret with special accessThe Operations/Test Analyst must be able to work independently or as a member of a team and have both strong verbal and written communication skillsThe Operations/Test Analyst must be able to qualify and maintain government issued flight line driving privilegesREQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE Technical training and 7 years of related experience;
