We are looking for a positive and collaborative Technical Lead - Guidewire ClaimCenter.
As part of our Software Engineering Group, you will be working with globally distributed teams, including business representatives, business analysts, architects, and engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and implement solutions. We embrace a culture challenging the status quo and constantly looking to simplify processes, technology, and workflow.
As a Guidewire ClaimCenter Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions within our organization. You will play a pivotal role in driving our claims transformation agenda, ensuring that we leverage Guidewire's capabilities to enhance our claims processing efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
This position reports to the AVP - Software Engineering.

As a Guidewire ClaimCenter Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions within our organization. You will play a pivotal role in driving our claims transformation agenda, ensuring that we leverage Guidewire's capabilities to enhance our claims processing efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
This position reports to the AVP - Software Engineering.
What you'll do
- Build architectural diagrams / design documents
- Write programs, configure / package / deploy software
- Perform peer code reviews
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Design and implement ClaimCenter configurations and integrations with external systems.
- Ensure best practices are followed in code development, testing, and deployment.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage the technical aspects of ClaimCenter upgrades and patches.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance functionality.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years proven experience in Guidewire ClaimCenter Application Development
- Expertise in GOSU Language, configuration and coding using Guidewire tools and accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and Guidewire predefined plugins
- Read code in other languages and reverse engineer products
- Agile software development, including the use of Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Domain knowledge on Property & Casualty Insurance
- Guidewire Cloud Associate Certification is a must.
- 5+ years of Guidewire development experience.
- 5+ years of experience coding RESTful APIs.
- 5+ years of experience with coding in multiple programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, etc.
- 5+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL - MS SQL Server & Transact SQL proficiency preferred.
- Expertise in the end-to-end design and development of business database applications.
- Experience creating modern web applications and designing Web APIs with REST/JSON.
- In-depth understanding of design thinking and customer-centric development.

- The salary band for this position ranges from $79,500 to $147,700. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
