Claims Risk and Quality Assurance Manager

We are looking for a Claims Risk Assurance Business Partner for our Auto Claims Team!

The successful candidate will work closely with the various Business leaders, and Risk teams across the organization, to establish procedures and quality standards and to monitor these against agreed best practices and support the Short-Tailed Lines Sr. Manager through proactive Quality review, control attestations, reporting and issue management.

What you'll do:
  • Conduct quality review for accuracy of the estimates on repairable and total loss vehicles.
  • Provide a view of the quality of the appraisals completed and evaluate leakage as appropriate.
  • Assist with the delivery of an effective and efficient quality program across Claims and associated third party suppliers, in alignment with organizational QA strategy.
  • Conduct data root cause analysis and provide recommendations to address trends in Auto and Appraisal space, to ensure alignment with Aviva's Best Practices.
  • Ensure timely completion of claims mandatory control testing and operational/thematic reviews, while following ORCM methodology.
  • Conduct leakage studies and thematic reviews to assess quality of the file handling and accuracy of the appraised values across Short Tailed lines of business.
  • Work as a business partner with Claims Risk leads and leadership team, to support capability development and reduction of leakage.
  • Undertaking management of the internally and externally raised issues; support operations with building actions and tracking to closure.


What you'll bring:
  • CIP/FCIP will be considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of Auto estimation experience in the Appraisal space.
  • Experience with Mitchel Estimation.
  • 3 or more years of claim handling experience within the Auto/GCS/Ovation/Lifestyle operations is considered an asset.
  • Data analysis using Qlik and Excel, including extraction, manipulation, and root cause analysis is preferred.
  • Leadership experience and experience in report writing and power point presentations is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels of interaction and correspondence, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to foster and build good working relationships with business areas inside and outside the business unit.
  • Ability and desire to influence change in a complex and environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high standards of performance.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional and technical development.


What you'll get:
  • The salary band for this position ranges from $64,200 to $147,700. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
