About the work environment:
Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.
We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto and Vancouver offices. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

You are an experienced, entrepreneurial, and operationally savvy sales expert in the financial solutions merchant acquiring space. You are passionate, involved, and eager to achieve. You are complimented regularly on your organizational skills, and you are confident in your sales and partnership abilities. You have developed subject matter knowledge in merchant acquiring and you are looking to take the next step with an entrepreneurial and agile organization.

Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. In addition, we are pleased to offer employees both group benefits and the option to participate in our RRSP matching program, beginning the first day of employment. Salary for this position will vary between $150,000 and $160,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience that the chosen candidate possesses. As part of our recruiting process, shortlisted candidates will be asked their salary expectations for this position.

About the qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience in a sales or client management role within the payment solutions realm in the North American marketplace.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field.
- Ability to establish and cultivate relationships, credibility, and trust with individuals at all levels internally and externally.
- Results-driven mentality, displaying a sense of urgency and actively pursuing solutions and opportunities.
- Excellent arithmetic skills along with understanding of the basics of contract law.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize.
- Experience dealing with payment networks and processors would be an asset.
About the day-to-day:
- Responsible for commercial client communications including regular touch points, advice on internal policies, and problem resolution.
- Advocate for your clients' interests internally.
- Lead, motivate and develop 2-4 direct reports through ongoing performance development.
- Experience interacting and presenting to all levels within an organization.
- Manage clients' expectations professionally and ensure that their issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
- Escalate critical issues with appropriate management for resolution.
- Become the subject matter expert on clients' business and activities.
- Identify opportunities within client portfolios and propose new products and services to enhance performance.
- Very limited travel within Canada, occasional US-based industry conferences.
- Manage, motivate and develop direct reports through ongoing performance development.
