What You'll Be Doing:
Responsible for administering and/or providing staff oversight of emergency care, first aid and episodic treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses within standing orders.The Lead Nurse plays a critical role in assuring alignment of Health Services work with the Global Medical Priorities, Health Key Elements, and site-specific goals and objectives.Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to lead othersSolid knowledge and clinical skills in Occupational Health Nursing PracticeServes as a role model, trainer and educator to nursing staff in the departmentDrives common practices and procedures throughout the departmentEnsures quality and accuracy of medical recordkeepingProvides oversight and maintenance of medical equipment and suppliesTimely completion of department, corporate and governmental required reportsAssists with the promotion of plant wellness programsInterfaces with health services customers in a knowledgeable and professional mannerEnsures adequate staffing to meet customer needs; hands-on patient care may be required
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
High level of initiative and sound independent judgmentDemonstrates effective oral and written communication skillsProficient with electronic medical records and multiple computer programs/softwareStrong problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to be self-directedRN Diploma/Associate degree required, BSN or BS preferredCertified in Healthcare Provider CPR/AEDValid RN license in stateTwo or more years' nursing experience, ER or Occupational Health preferred, some supervisory experience preferred
