Position Details
Grainger Sourcing provides a key component to our value by fulfilling customers' unmet needs for products and services from our network of 14K suppliers. As Sr. Analyst, Sourcing Supplier Partnerships, you will help implement a supplier strategy foundational to a best-in-class Sourcing organization. You will function as an internal consultant, identifying areas for process improvement based off data. You will report to the Manager, Supplier Partnerships. This position requires presence onsite at the Merchandise Mart Chicago, IL office or Lake Forest, IL headquarters two days per week.
You Will
Support implementation of a supplier stratification model to help the Sourcing organization improve quote response time and quote conversion; focus on our largest and impactful relationships.Research and recommend new sources of supply based off MRO trends and customer requests.Communicate with Sourcing Only vendors to improve performance in quality of quotation details, shipping performance and other key relationship metrics.Engage with Supplier Management and Supplier Performance Management teams on shared suppliers for consistency in messaging when serving Grainger and our customers.Partner with Sourcing Operations and Sourcing Analytics teams on continuous improvement opportunities, using data to inform project opportunities and success measures.Perform data analysis to support strategy development and operations while also communicating findings and developing recommendations to leadership to influence decision making.
You Have
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sciences, Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent experience.3+ years related experience in Supplier Management or Procurement or a focus on supplier relationshipsBroad business knowledge and organizational awareness with the ability to understand business profitability driversProficiency using data and reporting tools (e.g. Teradata, PowerBI) to perform data analysis and make data-driven decisions
