Release Train Engineer
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.The HID IAMS Business Area has followed a large SAFe deployed since the past five years. To continue improving our agility through effective collaboration and customer centricity, we are looking for a Release Train Engineer. In the Credentials ART, the RTE is expected to lead the train and serve its members. Its primary responsibilities will be:Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART using the Program KanbanSet up and facilitate PI Planning eventsAssist in tracking the execution of the Program execution planFacilitate periodic synchronization events, Scrum of Scrums, and PO SyncsAssist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessaryCoach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsetsHelp manage risks and dependencies. Escalate and track impedimentsEncourage collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects/EngineeringWork with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignmentFacilitate System DemosDrive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and help them improveQualificationsGood knowledge of SAFe Framework, in Portfolio configuration.Establish a solid SAFe environment within the team, strong capacity to detect and work on negative anti-patternsFacilitate workshops individually with small groups, or collaboratively with a large audienceCoaching skills for relentless improvement, and help team members to growBeing able to contribute to the community of practiceLead the Train for impediment removal, dependencies management, and improvement accountabilityEducation and/or Experience5 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)Certified SAFE Release Train Engineer or Certified SAFe Program Consultant1 or more years of experience acting as a Release Train Engineer.Language SkillsAbility to communicate in French and English.Computer SkillsFamiliar with the usage of Atlassian JIRA and ConfluenceFacilitation skills for remote meetings with MS Teams and MiroThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
