Job SummaryThe Product Owner is responsible for leading the development and delivery of MDA Service Transformation solutions including e-licensing built on Salesforce, ensuring that it meets customer needs, business objectives, and technical requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of the product vision, MDA business needs, the perspective of customers, and technical understanding of Salesforce with strong communication and collaboration skills to guide cross-functional teams towards successful outcomes.
QualificationsMinimum QualificationsFour (4) years of experience in technical product planning, development and deployment of software as a service (SaaS), Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) or similar systems. NOTE: An advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field may substitute for work experience: Doctorate (two years), Master’s (18 months), Bachelor’s (one year) and Associate’s (six months).
One (1) year of work experience with Salesforce on a development or implementation level.
Skills in management of contracts, including the development of requirements and statements of work (SOW).
Ability to analyze and prioritize relevant input and information from different sources, identifying important relationships, and finding root causes of problems experienced by customers and users.
Verbal and written communication skill sufficient to build trust, collaborate, inform, educate and interact with diverse internal and external stakeholders, from a wide range of backgrounds, including those who may not share your same culture, ethnicity, languages or common experiences.
The ability to celebrate and a strong commitment to a respectful and inclusive work environment.
Preferred QualificationsAdvanced knowledge of, or experience working in as a developer in, Salesforce.
Extensive experience as a product owner or product manager for a large technology platform or service.
Knowledge of public sector licensing solutions, or experience working with systems that administer licensing or certification programs.
Knowledge of, or experience working in, the Minnesota agriculture industry.
Experience delivering high quality technical solutions under tight time constraints.
Knowledge of government processes, practices and procedures as they relate to IT systems and their implementation and use.
Physical RequirementsThis position is an office position, based in the St. Paul OLF office. The individual in this position may telework on a schedule as negotiated with the supervisor; some responsibilities of this individual may require in-person presence at the office or attendance at meetings, as well as occasional in-State travel for supervision of remote workers or assigned staff. While most work and hours for this position is routine, the incumbent must be able to be flexible if work needs require schedule adjustments. The work is primarily computer-based and requires extensive sitting at a computer and keyboard to participate in meetings, and complete work activities.
