You will perform expert-level application development activities to support the mission of the Higher Education Coordinating Commission. This position is part of the HECC IT Organization, and it provides expertise and leadership to analyze, plan, develop, integrate, implement and coordinate the operations, maintenance, installation and construction of the agency’s various information technology and system solutions.You will provide IT application integration support and application development to HECC and HECC partners including but not limited to Software as a Service (SaaS), custom built, integration to Commercial Over The Shelf (COTS) solutions, and client server applications, as well as support for both new development and on-going maintenance of existing applications critical to conducting the business of the agency. You will also provide applications support to critical areas of HECC such as statewide scholarship and grant systems, Academic Policy & Authorization (APA) and Oregon Degree Authorization (ODA) post-secondary and private institution administration, and many other systems.The Work at a Glance

The successful candidate may be eligible for in-state hybrid work, which consists of performing duties onsite in a standard office environment and working remotely.What We Need (Minimum Qualifications)

Six (6) years of information systems experience in web-based and/or .Net application development, or administering and developing applications using cloud platforms.ORAn Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND four (4) years of information systems experience in web-based and/or .Net application development, or administering and developing applications using cloud platforms.ORA Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND two (2) years of information systems experience in web-based and/or .Net application development, or administering and developing applications using cloud platforms.ORA Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field may substitute for all of the above.Desired Attributes/Skills

Application development/administration using cloud platforms – strong Azure experience preferred.Web-based application development and/or expertise in .NET computer programming languages.Extensive knowledge of software development life cycle.Designing databases and database systems using Microsoft SQL Server.Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, AngularJS, etc.

Salary Range:

The range listed is the Non-PERS salary range. Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) participating members will have their base salary increased by 6.95% and pay a 6% employee contribution to PERS.Future Vacancies:
