The Workday Specialist will be responsible for supporting the overall function of the Workday platform from testing through adoption and optimization in conjunction with our established Workday Specialist team. This role will be one of the subject matter experts (SME) for our HRIS Workday. This includes implementing and optimizing applications, software, and systems to ensure they meet expected service levels and to prioritize the backlog of enhancements. This role will also troubleshoot performance issues.Principal Responsibilities:Maintain and support the foundational architecture within Workday, including departments, location structures, position management, absence plans and time trackingConfigure business processes and identify opportunities for enhancement or simplification aligned with Workday's methodologyIdentify opportunities for automation and process improvementSupport system upgrades, new HRIS releases, testing, validation, and overall performance analysisCollaborate with Specialist team to create training and process documentation after implementing changesEnsure data integrity within Workday and downstream systems through audit processes and analysesCollaborate with functional leads on Workday development and enhancement projects, translating business requirements into technical requirements and implementing scalable solutions best for HR-1 LLCPartner with all areas of HR to create, edit and prepare reports and user-friendly dashboardsRequired Skills/Abilities:Extensive business process knowledge, configuration, and hands-on experience (minimum of three years) in Workday in the area of HCM with a preference for at least two of the following additional areas: Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, Talent, Recruiting, ReportsPractical Workday integration experience and Workday Certification preferred but not requiredExperience with configuring workday modules including connecting with third-party appsBachelor's Degree required, preferably in information systems, HR, or business administration or commensurate experience requiredWork both collaboratively and independently and be able to determine and develop necessary approach for solutionsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple processes and priorities at onceAbility to thrive in fast-paced environments, be able to manage and work to bring clarity through ambiguity and complexityHighly responsive to business needsHigh level of attention to detailMust have a sense of urgency in both action and communicationAble to work well independently and under pressureStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office software products; familiarity with human resource information systems (HRIS) and/or the ability to quickly learn computer applications
