TeachStart creates a debt-free route into teaching and supports schools in the short and long term by placing TeachStart Fellows in substitute teaching roles while empowering them to attain a full teaching credential.
We’re a growing start-up, and looking for an entrepreneurial and strategic Marketing Lead to play a key role in that growth.
This year, TeachStart will:
Train 500 new educators
Fill 62,500 substitute days
Impact over 40,000 students every day
And create $12.5 Million in wage growth for our fellows.
The Role:Our goal is to 10x the size of our Teaching Fellowship in the next three years; we are seeking a Marketing Lead to play an essential role in making that bold vision a reality.The person in this role will be joining on the ground floor, and will play a key role in growing our organization and impact grow by:
driving our brand strategy across recruitment, business development and growth
refining our brand positioning and developing a core set of assets
executing on marketing and communication initiatives
managing external contractors (i.e. marketing/pr firms) to implement their vision
This is a full-time hybrid role, requiring some in person time. Therefore, the person in this role will need to be able to commute to one of our Scoot Partners’ office locations.

You have:
Alignment with TeachStart’s mission
4+ Years in Marketing or Communications Strategy Work or Similar
An outcomes orientation and a history of driving ambitious results
Strong critical thinking and vision-setting skills
Excellent organization and communication
A learner mindset

Compensation:
$70,000-$80,000 (Depending on Location) + Bonuses
