The candidate must be admitted to practice in New York (New Jersey a plus), possess strong writing skills and be comfortable litigating cases from inception through trial, appearing in court, handling depositions and working in a team-oriented environment.About the RoleThe salary range for this position is $145,000 - $225,000 and the actual compensation will depend on the candidate's qualifications and experience.ResponsibilitiesManaging case load from inception to post-trialAttending court conferences, oral arguments, depositions, mediations, and trialsPreparing pleadings, discovery, discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documentsPreparing timely reports regarding case status and ongoing activitiesAbility to prioritize work-load based on deadlinesCommunicating effectively with clients, senior attorneys and paralegalsMeeting billing requirementsCompleting tasks as assigned in a timely mannerRequired SkillsTrial experience a plusExcellent communication (verbal and written) skillsAbility to interact with attorneys, paralegals, court personnel, opposing counsel, clients, and office staff in a professional mannerAbility to delegate and prioritize as necessaryMust be detail-oriented with strong organizational skillsFamiliarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookKnowledge of ProLaw, iTimekeep and NetDocs a plusRequired QualificationsMember in Good Standing of the New York bar, admission to the federal District Courts a plusPay range and compensation packageJob Type: Full-timeSchedule: Approximately 2000 billable hours expected per year
