Job Overview
The Industry Sales Director manages the Industry sales teams in the Americas, the UK, and Europe, enabling teams to meet or exceed KPIs in developing new business and obtaining repeat business for TerraCycle’s recycling products. The Industry Sales Director will manage the team and all the processes to monitor and drive performance. As this role is also strategic, by assessing industries, markets, competitive landscapes, and TerraCycle’s performance, the Industry Sales Director will recommend new business opportunities, help define new industries for lead generation and the fine tuning of the value proposition. This role will also help develop tracking systems and liaise with finance, operations, and sales leadership on pricing, budget and KPI status. This is a unique and fast-paced role for a resourceful, driven individual looking for an exceptional sales management opportunity with a global leader in the sustainability field.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage, motivate, and mentor sales teams in Americas, Europe and the UK to ensure strategic and financial goals are met/surpassed
Identify new sales opportunities through analysis of competition, TerraCycle’s e-commerce channel and internal successes/challenges.
Support sales team in closing deals
Maintain records on accounts and update CRM and budget systems
Help build sales management system in coordination with Finance, Operations, Marketing/CRM, business teams and IT.
Build, monitor and assess competition and provide recommendations on offer liaising with sales and business management
Assess sales tools for productivity and effectiveness
Recommend lead generation targets based on market and sales performance
Manage inbound leads
Desired Qualifications
5+ years of sales, account management, consulting or marketing experience
Sustainability experience not required
Clear and effective verbal and written communication to engage and motivate team, clients, prospects, and internal teams
Understanding of best-in-class sales processes and techniques to monitor sales performance, identify opportunities, negotiate, and convert leads into customers
Capacity to identify challenges and develop creative solutions to address them
Effective time and project management skills
Desire to learn and work on a team that is working to continuously improve our offerings and exceed our sales KPI’s
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
Familiarity with CRM software, Google Suite, MS Office and other relevant technology platforms
Confidence and proficiency in delivering presentations to internal and external audiences
