Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center – Opening in 2025!When open in early 2025, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years! This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, The George Washington University Hospital, and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This clinical integration will establish a robust system of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community.This full-service hospital will include 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for physician offices, clinics, a community space, a 500-car garage and a helipad for emergency transports.We are seeking an experienced
Senior HR Generalist
to help guide HR processes and shape the culture as we open our new hospital!Provides a broad range of HR support which includes varied, complex, and specialized assignments.Works on key department projects and may handle employee relations investigations as needed.Supports HR Operations and the hospital leadership in the areas of performance management, systems administration, employee engagement, new employee orientation, reporting, compensation administration, HR training, and responding to questions.Provides consultation, coaching and advice to hospital leaders, as appropriate. HR Certification (SHRM/HRCI) preferred.Experience:5 years of progressively responsible experience in a Human Resources senior or lead role required. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.Prior experience with HR standards and guidelines for (not an all-inclusive list) Joint Commission, Wage & Hour, ADA, FMLA, Employment Laws, Civil Rights, and HR policies and procedures and handbook.Strong HR generalist skills, including experience in recruitment, compensation, employee relations, and employment law. HR knowledge of leaves of absences, FMLA, Worker's compensation strongly preferred.HRIS experience required; Performance Management and Applicant Tracking systems experience desired.Skills:Strong prioritization, problem solving, organizational skills, critical thinking, and leadership skills.Responsive in addressing issues and completing projects that require timely management/oversight.Strong oral and written communication skills, performance management, and analytical skills.Ability to multi-task with accuracy and attention to detail.Able to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.Strong customer relations/customer complaint resolution skills required.Must maintain high level of confidentiality.Computer proficiency with MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint to include email, spreadsheets, database entry, and use of various office equipment- PC, copier, printer, scanner.EEO StatementAll UHS subsidiaries are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates.
