Director of Business Development - Electric Utilities

What You’ll Do:
Drive organic growth within the South region for our Electric Utilities business focusing on selling electric engineering and consulting services to IOU’s, co-ops, and municipalities across the distribution, substation, and transmission segments
Provide field market intelligence such as competitive information and market or industry trends
Develop, nurture, and close new business opportunities and client relationships, while diversifying existing account revenues, and work collaboratively across the entire business development organization to coordinate and drive strategies
Develop and maintain quality relationships with clients, and participate in preparation of responses to RFP’s
CRM Input and management, proposal development and support, and other general business development responsibilities as required
Required Qualifications:
6+ years’ experience in the Utility industry preferred in Business Development or Sales with experience selling professional services to utilities.
Networked in the Utilities Sector in the South region of the United States. (e.g., CPS, Oncor, Southern Company, Entergy, Centerpoint, etc.)
Prior experience working with utilities or engineering services firms
Ability and desire to travel 3 to 4 times a month (50-70% Travel) as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Engineering or Business Degree
Ability to work independently across business functions in remote office setting
