Under general direction, the 6130 Safety Analyst plans and conducts worksite hazard analysis to identify occupational safety hazards and establishes comprehensive occupational safety programs to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations. Duties and Responsibilities Perform incident investigations and produce reports identifying causes and prevention. Perform trend analyses on incidents as assigned. Develop corrective action plans for identified incident trends. Determine leading safety and health indicators and report annually. Develop and conduct occupational safety and health training for employees, supervisors, and management. Evaluate safety and health training provided by consultants and make recommendations for improvement. Conduct safety and health inspections and hazard assessment surveys and generate reports. Assist with the quarterly formal inspection program as needed. Develop Codes of Safe Practices (CSP) Policy Procedures. Conduct Annual IIPP Audit and produce reports. Review and make recommendations on facilities design and construction to enhance safety and regulatory compliance. Attend safety meetings and conduct biweekly safety tailgate meetings. How to qualify

Education: Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university AND Experience: Four (4) years of professional occupational safety experience, such as implementing occupational safety programs, conducting worksite inspections, and conducting safety training. License and Certification: Possession of a valid California Driver’s License. Substitution: 1) A Master’s Degree in Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Management, or a closely related field may substitute for two (2) years of the required experience. 2) Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) may substitute for the required experience.
