Bring your fresh perspective, develop your strengths, break out of your mold, and find a career that fits your dreams with us.Click on the link below to learn what our employees have to say about Evonik:https://careers.evonik.com/en/about/meet-the-team/PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:Development and execution of CAPEX projects up to $1.5M USD for the purpose of improving safety, quality, efficiency or capacity of process equipment.Support projects from conceptual engineering, through basic engineering and construction including cost estimates/budgets for equipment and services (internal and contract) for all phases and submittal of CAR’s and management of budgets via EPIC and SAP.Work with equipment vendors and contractors to specify and purchase equipment and materials for projects.Manage MOC’s, PHA’s, DSR’s, PSSR’s, LOTO’s, CSE’s, PSI, HW and SWP for all phases and aspects of projects.Ensure projects are implemented safely, commission new equipment and provide startup support.REQUIREMENTS:B.S in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required with 3-5 years of project engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing facility or equivalent experience preferred.Project Management, cost estimating, and project implementation required.Experience with process hazard analysis (PHA) and HAZIDs/HAZOPs.Experience with OSHA CFR 1910.119 PSM and EPA RMP regulations and compliance.Equipment and relief equipment design, sizing and specification.Understanding the hazards of highly hazardous chemicals such as ethylene/propylene oxide, methyl chloride, and acrylonitrile.SAP knowledge and understanding.Comfort working in a plant environment and on teams comprised of operations, maintenance, engineering, quality, safety, and planning and working directly on the plant floor.Your Application:To ensure that your application is processed as quickly as possible and to protect the environment, please apply online via our careers portal.
