You will work with clients and stakeholders to define geospatial strategy and vision, and design and develop innovative solutions using advanced geospatial technologies. You will also provide technical expertise and direction for junior geospatial developers and analysts.What You’ll Do:Oversees and leads geospatial projects and solutions for complex business problems using GIS software and tools.Defines geospatial strategy and vision for clients and stakeholders.Designs and develops innovative solutions using advanced geospatial technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, etc.Provides technical expertise and direction for junior geospatial developers and analysts.Reviews and optimizes geospatial data and applications for quality, performance, and security.Provides support and troubleshooting for software and hardware systems used by other departments within the organization.Identifies new opportunities and challenges for GIS technology within the organization or industry sector.Works with clients and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and deliverables.Performs other duties as assigned.What You’ll Need:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Programming, or related field and 6 years of related experience, orMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Programming, or related field and 5 years of related experience, orIn lieu of education, 10 years of relevant experience.What You'll Bring:Knowledge of advanced geospatial concepts such as spatial analysis, map projections, coordinate systems, etc.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, C#, etc.Experience with web development frameworks such as Django, Flask, React, etc.Experience with mobile development platforms such as Android or iOS.Experience with big data, cloud computing, or machine learning technologies.Ability to oversee and lead geospatial projects and teams.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and quality.Experience with geospatial data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.Experience with geospatial data management tools such as ArcSDE or PostGIS.What We Prefer:Master’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or Computer Programming.Proficient in ArcGIS Online, including Experience Builder, Dashboards, Field Maps, and Survey123.Proficient in ArcGIS Pro.Experience with ModelBuilder, FME, or Python to perform data processing automation.Experience delivering GIS data, maps, and apps in a consulting setting.Certified GIS Professional (GISP).Additional InformationClick here for benefits information: HNTB Total Rewards.Click here to learn more about EOE including disability and vet.Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.Locations:Raleigh, NC.NOTICE TO THIRD-PARTY AGENCIES:HNTB does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or agencies.
