We are seeking Quality Assurance Engineers to join our Product Development teams, focusing on innovative applications designed for hotel associates and guests. We are looking for passionate engineers who advocate for our customers, helping us deliver the highest quality products. You’re driven to ensure mobile apps have capabilities equal to or better than web applications and enjoy tackling challenges with creativity.
Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive quality reviews for all feature development and aim to automate the quality review process.Gather and analyze data to support business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements.Collaborate closely with the Product Development team to plan and negotiate iterative development cycles in an agile environment.Work with the Operations team to build and maintain infrastructure for websites and associated properties in production, serving as Tier 3 support.Utilize DevOps tools and culture to deliver software to production frequently, with reliable and automated processes.Communicate problem impacts to development and business teams while understanding business requirements.Track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize results effectively.Use creativity and initiative to enhance product test coverage and effectiveness.Engage in cross-functional communication at various management levels in both formal and informal settings.Test web technologies, services, and physical devices while employing knowledge of Java, XML, JS, CSS, and HTML for robust test automation.Write quality code for testing in high-level languages (e.g., Java).Embrace Agile, DevOps, and Continuous Delivery methodologies.Work with platforms composed of loosely coupled, contractually obligated services.Mentor junior developers while also receiving guidance from experienced mentors.
Experience:A minimum of 5 years of overall QA/development experience.Proficiency in Java, Selenium, Cucumber, Jenkins, OpenStack, and related technologiesDemonstrated expertise in test planning, design, strategy, and execution.Experience using tools or frameworks to enhance script creation and execution.A collaborative history of working with developers and engineers on design implementation.Proven track record of recommending improvements in system design and testing practices.A passion for development with a focus on quality over quantity, without being overly perfectionistic.Familiarity with cloud technologies and SaaS, with a preference for building on platforms of loosely coupled services.
