You will report to the Director of Merchandise Planning.Help build department financial plans. Work to balance channel, brand, and business needs.Develop financial forecasts in-season and contribute to regular financial conversations with a diverse set of business partners. Help create a narrative and articulate risks and opportunities.Collaborate with merchants to develop consumer and category segment productivity targets within an assortment architecture.Build and present bottom-up sales and inventory plans. Reconcile against the tops-down financial plans to inform financial and inventory decisions.Align with planning leads and business partners to guide in-season tactical activities in execution of seasonal strategies: promotional strategies, markdown management, etc.Work with allocation partners to ensure optimal in-season allocation, replenishment, consumption, and receipt flow.Manage in-season profitability to achieve or exceed goals and submissions.Identify opportunities in, and improve, processes and tools.Participate in additional projects that support channel and company plans.About You
Bachelor’s degree; a combination of college education and related work experience may be used as a substitute.3+ years of planning experience.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with a diverse team both in-person and hybrid.Analytic abilities; can use analysis to help shape stories. Have a strong understanding of retail math, merchandising financials, and profitability KPIs.Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and ability to learn new digital tools quickly. Experience with SAS merchandise planning an asset.This is a hybrid position based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.The expected starting salary range for this role is $68,400 - $91,200 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance, and business needs.Levi Strauss & Co.
