Responsibilities will include payroll oversight of processes including hires, terminations, bonuses, leaves of absence (LOA), direct deposits, wage garnishments, vacation accruals, tax changes, healthcare premium deductions, and 401(k) deductions. The Sr. Manager works closely with our 3rd party vendor and ensures compliance in all areas of payroll. This person will work cross-functionally with the accounting, tax, finance, and HR teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting as well as problem resolutions.Critical to this role is comprehensive expertise and experience in payroll compliance (state and federal) and with implementing scalable, repeatable processes. The ideal candidate for this role will be a subject matter expert with the ability to advise, make decisions, implement and troubleshoot effective payroll processes. You maintain confidentiality and have a strong track record of cross-functional partnership. You thrive in a fast-paced environment.You may be hired as a Sr. Manager or Manager based on your depth of skill and breadth of experience.What will you do?Manage all aspects of the payroll processing across most of the 50 states for over 1,000 employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy, compliance and outstanding service goals are consistently met.Proactively identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and determine the most appropriate method of communication.Provide guidance on optimizing open enrollment and other benefits processes and reconciliations.Partner with HR and accounting during customer acquisitions to ensure a smooth transition for onboarded employees.Be the primary point of contact with payroll vendor on all payroll related process flows and issues.Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports, including standard and ad hoc reports to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness as required by Accounting, Finance and HR.Review and reconcile quarterly and annual, federal and state, payroll tax returns.Own the review and distribution process for annual W-2s.Own bi-weekly 401(k) transmittals for employees.Provide documentation for payroll, 401k, and benefit and financial statement audits; assists in preparing annual 401k 5500 non-discrimination.This is an onsite position at our corporate headquarters in San Diego, CA.What education and experience do you need?A combination of the following education and experience factors will be considered:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.10+ years of experience in payroll in a fast-paced corporate environment.Demonstrated deep knowledge of best practices benefits and 401k administration.Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now.Demonstrated expertise in federal and multi-state wage and hour regulations and payroll tax-filing procedures.What’s in it for me?We don't just offer benefits; we offer a comprehensive and flexible benefits package tailored for you!Dive into a world of cutting-edge healthcare with our comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits, including telehealth services.
